Malaysia’s international borders fully reopened on 1 April 2022

Effective 1 April 2022, in transitioning to the endemic phase of Covid-19, Malaysia's national borders will be "reopened". Find out more below. Malaysians may enter Malaysia without prior approval from the Malaysian authorities.

 

Malaysia's international borders will open to foreigners on 1 April 2022.

 

Fully vaccinated travellers do not have to undergo quarantine.

 

The requirement for non-Malaysians to obtain MyTravelPass/MyEntry approval to enter Malaysia will be abolished.

 

For fully vaccinated travellers to Malaysia, a negative RT-PCR test result done within 48 hours prior to departure to Malaysia (as well as a professional RTK-Ag test done within 24 hours of arrival in Malaysia) are required. Quarantine upon arrival is no longer required.

 

MySejahtera app (https://mysejahtera.malaysia.gov.my/intro_en/) and completion of Pre-Departure Form (in MySejahtera app - Traveller icon) still required.
